Ingen tid - No time!

You will find it in English on the buttom of this post.

To all dear readers,

Jobs, family and now studies mean that the time is not enough! I will visit you, but often I will not be able to leave a comment. You should be aware that your comments appreciated enormously.

Pictures will be posted, but when, where and how (often?) Is not done yet.

From this blogg I will have a break, but my "365 photos in 2010" will go on! Press HERE to go to that blogg!

Hot chocolate

This has been a part of my week, Photo story friday

Ingredienser - Varm riktig choklad
75 g finhackad choklad (välj din favoritchoklad)
3 dl mjölk
0.5 st vaniljstång
1 msk socker

Gör så här

Sorry I only have the recipe in Swedeish, sorry.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hot chocolate (also known as hot cocoa, drinking chocolate, or just cocoa) is a heated beverage that typically consists of shaved chocolate or cocoa powder, heated milk or water, and sugar. While hot chocolate is generally thought of as a drink consumed for pleasure, recent[when?] studies[who?] have suggested that hot chocolate possesses health benefits due to antioxidants that can be found in cocoa solids[citation needed]. Until the 19th century, hot chocolate was even used medicinally to treat ailments such as stomach diseases.

The first chocolate beverage is believed to have been created by the Mayan peoples around 2000 years ago, and a cocoa beverage was an essential part of Aztec culture by 1400 A.D. The beverage became popular in Europe after being introduced from Mexico in the New World, and has undergone multiple changes since then. Today, hot chocolate is consumed throughout the world and comes in multiple variations including the very thick cioccolata densa served in Italy, and the thinner hot cocoa that is typically consumed in the United States.

Aphrodisiac
Romantic lore commonly identifies chocolate as an aphrodisiac. The reputed aphrodisiac qualities of chocolate are most often associated with the simple sensual pleasure of its consumption. Although there is no proof that chocolate is indeed an aphrodisiac, a gift of chocolate is a familiar courtship ritual.

Chocolate has been the center of several successful book and film adaptations. In 1964, Roald Dahl published a children's novel titled Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The novel centers around a poor boy named Charlie Bucket who takes a tour through the greatest chocolate factory in the world, owned by Willy Wonka. Two film adaptations of the novel were produced. The first was Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, a 1971 film which later became a cult classic. Thirty-four years later, a second film adaptation was produced, titled Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. The 2005 film was very well received by critics.

Chocolat is a 1999 novel by Joanne Harris. It tells the story of Vianne Rocher, a young mother, whose confections change the lives of the townspeople through magic. The 2000 film adaptation, Chocolat, also proved successful, grossing over US$150,000,000 worldwide

Master mind

Ruby Teusday Red always, red.

For me this game can take NIGHT and DAY!!! the todays meme at Two 4 Teusday

The game is played using:
a decoding board, with a shield at one end covering a row of four large holes, and twelve (or ten, or eight) additional rows containing four large holes next to a set of four small holes;
code pegs of six (or more; see Variations below) different colors, with round heads, which will be placed in the large holes on the board; and
key pegs, some colored (often black), some white, which are flat-headed and smaller than the code pegs; they will be placed in the small holes on the board.

The two players decide in advance how many games they will play, which must be an even number. One player becomes the codemaker, the other the codebreaker. The codemaker chooses a pattern of four code pegs. Duplicates are allowed, so the player could even choose four code pegs of the same color. The chosen pattern is placed in the four holes covered by the shield, visible to the codemaker but not to the codebreaker.

The codebreaker tries to guess the pattern, in both order and color, within twelve (or ten, or eight) turns. Each guess is made by placing a row of code pegs on the decoding board. Once placed, the codemaker provides feedback by placing from zero to four key pegs in the small holes of the row with the guess. A colored (often black) key peg is placed for each code peg from the guess which is correct in both color and position. A white peg indicates the existence of a correct color peg placed in the wrong position.

Once feedback is provided, another guess is made.
You can read more at . Wikipedia

Starting in 1973, the game box featured a photograph of a well-dressed, distinguished-looking white man seated in the foreground, with an attractive Asian woman standing behind him. The two amateur models (Bill Woodward and Cecilia Fung) reunited in June 2003 to pose for another publicity photo.

With four pegs and six colors, there are 64 = 1296 different patterns.

If you are a "Master mind" yourself take some help out of this;

Five-guess algorithm
In 1977, Donald Knuth demonstrated that the codebreaker can solve the pattern in five moves or fewer, using an algorithm that progressively reduced the number of possible patterns.[2] The algorithm works as follows:
The first guess is aabb.
Calculate which possibilities (from the 1296) would give the same score of colored and white pegs if they were the answer. Remove all the others.
For each possible guess (not necessarily one of the remaining possibilities) and for each possible colored/white score, calculate how many possibilities would be eliminated. The score of the guess is the least of such values. Play the guess with the highest score (minimax).
Go back to step 2 until you have got it right.

GOOD LUCK, it a fun game!

The Great Tit (Parus major) is a passerine bird in the tit family Paridae. It is a widespread and common species throughout Europe in any sort of woodland. It is resident, and most Great Tits do not migrate. In the past this species was considered a ring species with several subspecies covering a wide distribution, but these have now been separated.

The breeding population of Great Tits in the city of Sheffield, UK (a city of half a million people), has been estimated at 17,164 individuals.
The Great Tit was unsuccessfully introduced into the United States; birds were set free near Cincinnati, Ohio between 1872 and 1874 but failed to become established. Birds later introduced to the Almaty Province in what is now Kazakhstan in 1960-61 and have become established, although present status is unclear.

The Great Tit is a popular garden bird due to its acrobatic performances when feeding on nuts or seed. Its willingness to move into nest boxes has made it a valuable study subject in ornithology, and it is one of the best studied birds in the world.
However, human habitat also has an effect on the Great Tit. The song of the Great Tit has been observed to change in noise polluted urban environments. In areas with low frequency background noise pollution, the song has a higher frequency than in quieter areas.

This table setting was made by my father in law! He is 87 years old and wanted to have us for a late Chritmas dinner.
We help him with the food - he also made a game for us, using his computer and printerd out words that the letter were mixed and we had to try to figure out what it meant.
I love my father in law.

Road and river

Old time, old bridge.
The road is not in use for cars or even for horses pulling a wagon anymore. But it is in use. The farmer has cows on both side of the river and need to use the bridge over the river, to get the cows home.
But wait can not cow swim...?
Maybe they swim away instead of to the other side, do you know?
Or maybe the farmer can not swim LOL.

I am so happy that here around I still can see what my parents and my grandparent were using long time ago, and maybe it is still the same water in the river that has come back from a trip all over the world.

Gott, mycket gott 2010

Please start to look HERE at the table settings!

This is a long shot... for Photo Hunt, the meme is lick... but I do promise you will like yourself around the mouth after reading this post, LOL.

New and new recipes and new ideas, here is the dinner we had last night!

Butter-dough with many different fillings.

Cheese, cream with fillet (the best part from the cow - do not have the name), Garlic and a few different kind of herds - delicious! And very easy to make and only took 20 minutes.

And of course it has to sparkle when it was new years evening.

I found this interesting on another blog

'Havreflarn' are Swedish oat biscuits (sometimes referred to as 'oat crisps') which are truly delicious. Strangely enough, I got a packet of these from Ikea in Southampton, and I have no recollection of the price - I've tried looking them up on the net, but the only Ikea website that actually claims it sells Havreflarn is the Chinese one - so an 125kg box of these little beauties costs 10.50 Yuan!

The biscuits themselves are round (but not perfectly formed), thin, and extremely crunchy. On first bite, I thought they were merely 'OK', but it's the sort of taste that really grows on you, and before long you realise that the word 'moreish' is perfectly suited to these Swedish wonders. Actually, my presumption that they are Swedish comes solely from the fact that they are sold in Ikea - so they may well be from somewhere else - although I can't research that either as Wikipedia has no mention of Havreflarn - they really are mystery biscuits.

The taste is sweet, but not sickly, and is actually reminiscent of toffee popcorn - which is never a bad thing. The consistency is very crunchy, but due to their thin nature, they don't fall into the category of 'teeth-breakers'.

On the downside, Havreflarn aren't very absorbent, so dipping them in a cup of tea (as I usually enjoy doing with my biscuits) is not best suited to these particularly tasty morsels.

If you ever find yourself in Ikea, look out for these biscuits, and I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Due to their delicious taste and crunchy nature, they really are worth investing in - although going all the way to China to buy them may be a little extreme :)

Or try to make them your self like we did.

75 g butter
3/4 cup syrup
3/4 cup (stora) Oat
3/4 cup flour
¼ small tablespoon baking-powder
1 ½ tablespoon milk
1 ½ tablespoon syrup

200 degrees celsius in 5 minutes.

But not all the kids wanted what we had...
